There is much to see and do in the immediate vicinity of the B&B. Below we give a selection of things that appeal to us ourselves.

Museum Spakenburg

Museum Spakenburg is a contemporary museum full of contradictions that showcases the rich history of the municipality of Bunschoten. It is located in eight properties along an alley with an area of 1,500 square meters.

The museum has ten exhibits, complemented by permanent and changing presentations. Tradition and innovation take center stage. See the history of rich farm life, fishing and old crafts and enjoy the wonderful collections. Of course, the most beautiful costumes are also on display.

Botter tours

Relax and enjoy the sun on a botter, wind and beautiful views of Lake Eemmeer. After departing from the center of Spakenburg, the sails are hoisted and the toch across the former Zuiderzee can begin. Times the yet you can take the helm and help sail. A great experience for young and old alike!

The Fish Auction

Take a look at the building where fishing boats used to come in to deliver the fish that had been caught. The siren went off and the women knew their husbands were coming home. The fish were handed in, weighed, cleaned and auctioned.

Ship Carpenter Yard

Come take a look at the largest botter fleet in the Netherlands, the Timmermans workshop and the ramp. Formerly also called the ”schuytenmaekereye”. Today, the yard serves as a repair yard for historic vessels, including botters.

Corn mill ''the Hope''

Back from the road! Located on a rustic and beautiful part of Bunschoten, stands corn mill de Hoop. Every Wednesday and Saturday the mill runs, on these days you can buy bread and flour produced by the mill itself. There is opportunity for a tour.

From cozy chocolate store to contemporary fashion stores, it’s all here. There are several boutiques in Bunschoten Spakenburg offering a wide range of trendy clothing and accessories for the home.

A nice lunch or dinner during or after shopping? No problem! In downtown Bunschoten, there is something for everyone. From a sandwich to a deluxe course menu or a fish in between.

Eemhof Watersport & Beachclub / Aqua Mundo

Watersports are a perfect way to get away from it all. There are countless possibilities, fun for young and old alike! At Eemhof Watersport & Beachclub, the water sports possibilities are endless. Our water sports center with sailing surfing and wakeboarding school, provides various water sports lessons, including wakeboarding lessons, sailing lessons and windsurfing lessons. Of course, it is also possible to rent, for example, a canoe, centaur sailboat, windsurfing equipment or a sloop. Due to the beautiful surroundings on and around Lake Eemmeer, renting a sloop in particular is highly recommended!

Aqua Mundo is a subtropical swimming paradise on the vacation park the Eemhof with many slides, wave pool and a white water course there is fun for everyone, tickets can be booked on the website Day ticket De Eemhof – Center Parcs

The Eemhof is located across the street from Bunschoten Spakenburg. There is a boat going from Bunschoten to the Eemhof, ask us for the times and possibilities.

Amersfoort
